Stress - all about it
Diseases associated with stress
Rapid pulse and raised blood pressure caused by prolonged stress can cause hardening of blood vessels, which in turn is often the cause of heart disease, like angina pectoris, stroke or heart attack. More acid in the stomach, especially at slow digestion, can cause irritation of the gastric mucosa, resulting in emerging stomach or duodenum. We can also blame stress for many skin diseases. In addition, many doctors share the view that muscle pain occurring in inflammation meningitis, are caused by the fact that the body can not cope with the normal anti-viral infection.
Stress can impair the immune response to such infection, thus extending the stressful situations lead to severe fatigue, muscle and mind, which may cause, inter alia, meningitis. There are tests of American scientists who have linked stress to the occurrence of certain cancers. It seems that breast cancer occurs more often in those women who are constantly under the influence of strong stress. It is quite possible that severe stress damages the immune system so that it does not counteract the formation and propagation of cancer cells.
In addition to these effects of physiological (physical) causes stress and other negative phenomena, which must be taken into account. Acute depression, which is a common reaction to prolonged stress, can lead to dependency on alcohol or drugs.
